This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for using SEONOS — the website audit service at seonos.com. It exists to keep the Service safe, fair, and lawful for everyone, and to protect the websites that get scanned. This AUP is part of our Terms of Service; violating it may result in rate-limiting, suspension, or termination.
You may use SEONOS only to scan websites that you own or are authorized to manage on behalf of their owner. Submitting a URL for a deep report or monitoring confirms that you have permission to audit that site. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any URL you submit.
SEONOS fetches public pages the way a search engine crawler would, and a deep report may include an AI step that reads a rendered snapshot to verify on-page text. The Service is an analysis tool, not an attack or load-testing tool, and must not be used to probe, stress, or disrupt websites.
You must not use SEONOS to:
Scans run on schedules and within capacity limits (for example, Whole-Site monitoring includes up to 200 pages, with paid expansion in increments of 100). We may apply rate limits and fair-use thresholds to protect the Service and the sites being scanned. Attempting to defeat these limits is a violation of this AUP.
To keep the Service and our forms safe, we use automated anti-abuse protections. These may include honeypot fields, submission-timing checks, language and content filters, and other signals used to detect automated or malicious activity. We may block, challenge, rate-limit, or discard requests that trigger these protections.
If we believe you have violated this AUP, we may — with or without notice — throttle or rate-limit your activity, suspend or terminate your account, remove offending data, and take any other action we consider appropriate, including reporting unlawful activity to the authorities. We may also act to protect the Service, our users, or third-party sites from harm.
If you believe someone is misusing SEONOS — for example, scanning a site they do not control — please report it so we can investigate.
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the current AUP.
