SEONOS was created by Joel Newport, owner of the marketing agency Code With Power (codewithpower.com). After years of helping businesses with their websites, Joel kept meeting everyday site owners who wanted to understand their own SEO but felt shut out — by jargon, by expensive enterprise software, or by not knowing where to even start.

So Joel worked with a team of programmers to build SEONOS: a friendly way for people to check their own site’s SEO and speed without needing an agency or a pricey enterprise suite. The goal was simple — make SEO easy and accessible for regular site owners.
